She received her bachelor’s degree in Forensic Chemistry, which focused on DNA analysis and drug chemistry, from the University of Mississippi where she was an intern at the Mississippi State Crime Lab in the drug chemistry unit.
Following undergrad, she remained at the University of Mississippi to obtain her law degree. Leoghain grew up in suburban Atlanta, Georgia and Oxford, England where she was a champion Irish Dancer and avid traveler.
